editing process

During the our editing time we realised that part of the footage was put of sync. This made it hard for us to carry on because it was the main part of the music video, so therefore we had to take a break from editing and book a studio session with our artist to re-do it again. however as soon as we did that we made sure that we went to edit it straight away as the date to finish editing was quiet close.

group meeting

As a group we came to together to ensure we were all up to date on our individual tasks. Also during this meeting we went through our music video checking or any improvements that needed to be addressed.

Group meetings

Today me and my other team member Luce met up to look over the footage we filmed on our shooting days. Overall we thought that we had good shots and there wasn't any scenes which we had to go again. We were missing our other member Mariam but that was a minor.

Music video changes

Unfortunately, due to personal issues with one of the actors we've has to replace the actor playing 'Rihanna'. Luckily, Finding a replacement wasn't difficult. Only issue was it wasn't as easy to book the studio due to fact she didn't attend the college, but we managed to overcome this obstacle. In addition to this, we had to make sure the other actor playing 'Future' was comfortable with working with her. This also meant she had to learn the lyrics in a short period of time but she was quite familiar with the song it wasn't a big problem. Also, we are very glad we did make this change in the end as the replacement actor was more comfortable in front of the camera, and has a lot experience in acting.

FILMING (performance)

Today we started to shoot scene 6 but only managed to do a small section as we were only an hour in the film studio. We had both our characters in there who just got on with their role for the video. We had Luce who was setting up the lighting and camera, Mariam helping with the lyrics and music and I was directing the music video. Although we filmed in front green screen were planning on also filming with a white/black back drop for a full effect.

PRE-PRODUCTION- EQUIPMENT BOOKING

Today my group and I came to decision that we plan to start shooting some of our scenes so therefore we then chose to book our equipment in preparation for our shoot. we chose to book both he Panasonic camera and DSLR camera. We booked them in for a Friday lunchtime to shoot in the studio for scene 6 and Wednesday during the half term for scene 11.

Recces

My team mate (Mariam) finished off the Recces today which has a clear over view of the different places we have chosen to shoot our music video.

storyboard

This is a show of our storyboards and the different shots and frames we will use during the time that we'll shoot. We are still carrying on with these storyboards as there are still more frames to add.

case study progress

Today my group carried on doing the story boards and I started on some of the scenes too. I started doing scenes 7,8 and 9.

Changes to the group

Our group has gone from 2 people to 3 people in our group. We have a new member to a our group called luce. This has meant that task can be done more efficient as there is more of us now to get task done. We are all allocated to do specific task. We are all happy about this change and feel we will work great as team.
